A Need for DEEPer

In Kenya, students typically complete secondary school at the age of 18 or 19, a stage when they are physically mature but still undergoing important mental, emotional, and moral development. Science confirms that the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for decision-making, impulse control, and rational thinking, continues to mature well into the mid-20s. During this phase, youth are especially vulnerable to peer pressure, emotional decision-making, and risk-taking behavior.

Research also shows that adolescents are far more likely to make unwise decisions when influenced by peers, making it critical that they receive structured guidance, mentorship, and support.

DEEP is a 10-week mentorship and empowerment journey designed specifically for youth transitioning out of high school and into adulthood. It provides them with the tools they need to navigate life’s next stage with wisdom, purpose, and faith.
